Gary, as co-owner in the business, worked mainly in property acquisition and remodeling, while simultaneously serving in ministry at a church during those years. Due to the growth of Promiseland in the last few years he has taken on a full-time role in the business. He works diligently to maintain the high standards for safety, comfort, and beauty of the facilities. He is also involved in non-profit work as the founder of The Bridge of Lubbock a non-profit serving at-risk students and their families in Lubbock and surrounding areas.

Teresa is an RN with 30 years of experience, 29 in geriatric care. She started Promiseland Assisted Living in 1997 after her many years of working in Home Health and Hospice. Promiseland Assisted Living has expanded to four different locations and is operated by Teresa, her husband Gary and their son Lathan. Teresa has served as President of TORCH (Texas Organization of Residential Care Homes) and she has been serving on the TORCH Board of Directors for 10 years. Her passion for the elderly continues to be providing the highest quality of care for the residents at Promiseland Assisted Living.

Lathan has been working in the business for several years. He is a Texas Tech Alumni having received his degree in finance from the Rawls College of Business. His involvement in Promiseland touches all aspects of the business. You might find him assisting with medicine, setting staff schedules, mowing a lawn or visiting with the residents. The future of Promiseland looks to be in good hands!"
